Impersonator Persona?

I've long been a fan of Grae Phillips. She looks divine, is a talented performer, and produces interesting artistic expressions of her femininity. Unfortunately, it does not seem that Grae performs live any more.

I wonder if Grae ever thought about becoming the next Jim Bailey?

Bailey remains a talented female impersonator (he still looks very youthful!), but became well-known in the 1970s and 1980s for his singing performances as Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand and other major stars. He even did Madonna.

This is one of my favorite videos, with Jim performing as Judy Garland:

Grae Phillips, by contrast, essentially created a new persona -- but has now apparently abandoned it save for internet purposes.

I say too bad, because Grae was talented and sexy:

Could Grae develop and perfect some impressions of female singers and make a good living performing them? Probably she could, but that would mean abandoning Montreal for the road and making other lifestyle choices that are hers alone.

Fans will have to be satisfied with the youtube archive of performances, though we would surely love to see some new videos of Grae singing.
